So if you didn't already know.. it was my birthday on saturday 21st. I turned 18 years old (I can't believe it!) For my birthday my parents and I took a weekend trip to Paris. I have only been to Paris once, and it was Disney land when it was my 5th birthday, so I knew I wanted to do all of the typical touristy things.
I am sharing my trip with you, bit by bit, as to do it in one blog post would be impossible!!! I was only there for the best of 4 days, and I managed to take over 800 photographs!
So I hope you enjoy...
The Sacre Coeur and Montmartre
So, this was one of the first places we visited, the weather was ok, a little overcast but perfect for walking around. The building was amazing, I was blown away by all of the architecture I saw. We went inside and it was just as amazing, (no photos allowed) the ceilings had gold leaf laid onto beautiful painted figures. We wandered over to the sacre coeur artists who were painting, selling and creating beautiful artwork. I was tempted to have my portrait done, but had to opt out as I only had hand luggage and it wouldn't have fit.
This woman was dressed up in early 1900's style clothes, with this amazing stand of flowers playing the accordion outside the church. |
Art from the Sacre Coeur |
My mum fell in love with this particular artists work. |
A glimpse of the stunning view from the Montmartre |
There was the really adorable merry-go-round at the bottom of the hill. |
There is more to come, so I hope you enjoyed :)
